SCHOOL UNIFORM

Our pupils take great pride in wearing the St. Oswald’s School uniform. Many benefits of wearing school uniform everyday have been identified. These include better discipline and pride in the school and a greater sense of identity and belonging within the school community. There is also less competition between children in terms of what they wear to school and there are no disagreements between parents and children about what a child should wear to school. St. Oswald’s School uniform consists of:
* Bottle Green Jumper/Cardigan
* Yellow polo shirt (with or without logo)
* Grey trousers, skirt or pinafore dress.
* Green gingham dress in the Summer if preferred.

ALL ITEMS MUST BE CLEARLY LABELLED WITH YOUR CHILDS NAME.

All children are expected to wear school uniform when representing the school in various competitions, concerts and open days.

Footwear
Sensible shoes are the preferred options to be worn. We would ask that parents exercise restraint in the type of footwear your child wears. High-heeled shoes and / or crocs can be a safety hazard and, therefore, are not allowed.

Jewellery
For Health and Safety reasons the wearing of jewellery is NOT allowed. We do allow one small stud earring in each ear. Children wearing any other jewellery items will be asked to remove them.
